In 2014, I first went back with a camera to a place where I used to spend my summers as a teenager, the Cinque Terre in Italy. Walking on those forgotten, yet familiar, rocky shores triggered memories and awoke the sleeping ghosts of summers past.

Her Wave reflects Joni Sternbach's travel to worldwide surf spots over the past fourteen years. Facing weather and tide, Sternbach and her subject intersect at the periphery of two powerful elements: land and sea. Sternbach allows the format's rawness and immediacy to shape each composition's distinctive appearance, echoing important traditions of nineteenth-century anthropological photography.

Smoke and Mirrors

For “Smoke and Mirrors'' I photographed 78 sets of artists, astrologers, psychics, tarot readers, and other forms of mystics from all around the world. Each subject represents a unique tarot card. I am creating a body of work focused on the existence of magic and mysticism through an immersive portrait survey and tarot readings. In the proverb of storytelling, psychics, and astrologers have an assigned position as the all-knowing gypsy with profound visions, within all concurrent and historical cultures—a charged spirit of the ethereal that encompasses destiny, luck, and faith. Combining the elements of the real (photographic) and the surreal (painting) to facilitate a broad & reflexive mixed-media dialogue that discerns the characters, their powers, and the significance of their presence in this natural world. So that together, we may raise the vibration of consciousness.

This is collection of my abstract artworks which I created in my spontaneous method which I invented in 2020. I cut these mythical figurines from paper and then I create a composition. This is collage art. It's paper on fine art paper with 3D beads or with acrylic paint. These works were created in 2022 during the end of the Pandemic. I have curated a collection of my best works for that period.
